Highlights

Sealed Air’s (SEE) new CEO, Ted Doheny, finally unveiled the “Reinvent SEE Strategy” on December 13, 2018, and in the presenter’s opinion the announcement may have “fallen on deaf ears.” While this is understandable to a certain extent, given the market’s recent volatility, it is a “material plan” that could result in $240MM - $260MM of annualized synergies over the next two years. It changes the cost structure of the company and should improve margins via automation (improvements to manufacturing facilities) and a reduction of wasteful spending. At $33 - $34 per share, or 9.7x his 2020 FCF/share estimate, he views the risk/reward as favorable and is long the stock.
