Highlights

The presenter said navigating global TMT investment opportunities, particularly in Europe, has been a challenge in 2014. Many trades are “crowded,” but there are opportunities if investors are patient. He views Telecom Italia as one such opportunity with multiple potential catalysts, including the potential for Italy’s wireless market to go from four players to three, and is long the stock. In addition, there is the potential for the wireless market in Italy to improve, and M&A activity in Latin and South America is heating up. The company’s Brazilian unit, Tim Participacoes, could be leveraged to unlock value.
