Highlights
With the Obama administration pushing for Title II oversight of the cable providers today (November 10, 2014), the threat of enhanced regulation could weigh on shares of Charter Communications and others in the group for some time, but the presenter for his part views this development as an opportunity for investors with a 2-3 year time horizon. Participants seemed to agree that the announcement is unlikely to be materially meaningful - viewing it more as an instance of political grandstanding than anything else - and unlikely to fundamentally impact the economics of the industry in the near to intermediate term.
