Highlights

Nordson Corporation manufactures equipment used for precision materials dispensing. The company is currently facing structural cost pressures, as approximately 70% of revenues are in non-dollar denominated currencies while approximately 70% of costs are denominated in dollars. Further, the FX headwinds faced by the company meaningfully flow through to EPS, according to the presenter. Operating in a fragmented market, NDSN competes against mostly regional players in various geographies, the majority of which have costs denominated in local currencies. Also concerning is the continued slowdown in cap ex spend on the part of the company’s semi cap equipment customers.
