Highlights
HD Supply (HDS) was formerly a business unit of Home Depot’s, and was sold to Bain Capital, the Carlyle Group and Clayton Dubilier & Rice in 2007 for $8.5 billion. Today, the industrial distribution company has just over a $4 billion market cap, and is well-positioned to benefit from an eventual recovery of the commercial construction industry, said the presenter. He is long shares of HDS, which he believes are undervalued relative to its closest peers and “very cheap” looking out over the next two years.
