Highlights

The presenter is long just one energy company: SemGoup (SEMG) and said he has been short E&Ps as a hedge due to lofty valuations and the potential for dividend cuts. While he intends to keep exposure to the sector low, he remains attracted to SEMG as they “don’t have a need for external funding.” With the stock trading in the low $20s (~$21 - $22) the risk/ reward may be favorable as there should be a boost to EBITDA in the 4th quarter of 2016. At 6.2x (EV to the presenter’s 2017 EBITDA estimate) SEMG could be an attractive asset for any number of larger players, and downside risk should be limited.
