Highlights
Shares of Blue Cross Blue Shield plan provider Anthem (ANTM) represent an attractive value at ~$125, in the presenter’s opinion. There are three components to the bullish thesis, including the “standalone” value, the value of a combined ANTM/ Cigna, and the upside to both scenarios from the re-pricing of the pharmacy benefits contract with Express Scripts. He sees the potential for at least 45% upside for shareholders over the next 12-18 months based on the standalone case, and 70%+ upside if the deal goes through and the multiple expands.
