Highlights
Commercial auto parts do it yourself (DIY) business represents ~60% of Advance Auto Parts’ (AAP) overall revenue, and the presenter believes the company’s acquisition of CARQUEST puts it in an excellent position to outperform Street and investor expectations. The deal addressed a material strategic issue AAP was faced with in competing for business against O’Reilly, and with better local distribution the company should be able to improve service and margins. If the presenter’s bullish view is correct, AAP shares could be worth as much as $190 in 12 months, and possibly $220+ longer-term.
