Highlights
Seemingly everything that could go wrong for Rexnord Corp (RXN) following its 2012 IPO, did go wrong. The maker of gears, seals, couplings, industrial and aerospace bearings, and other water treatment products was supposed to be a “mini Danaher” but missed earnings expectations in its first quarter following the IPO, and then - while still under the control of Apollo - was evaluating a sale of the company (or other strategic action; February 2013) and nothing happened. The presenter said that after five secondary offerings and a cessation of its M&A activity, RXN appears to be back on track and he is long the stock.
